East Budleigh Reserves get deserved point at Silverton

East Budleigh Reserves drew 2-2 to pick up an excellent point on the road at Silverton last Saturday, writes Mark Auton.

Budleigh’s young brigade worked tirelessly and were marshalled superbly by the calm head of captain Si Pearce who also added his name to the score sheet from a free-kick.

The sides went in level at the break, before the hosts went ahead in the second period; Budleigh keeper Mark Bown produced some excellent keeping to prevent Silverton going further ahead.

In the closing stages Budleigh sneaked a late equalizer that will hopefully give them the confidence when they play the same side again at Vicarage Road this Saturday.
