Archant

Player unavailability and late withdrawals forced both Ammies teams to make changes to their line ups for their respective Fresha League encounters.

It certainly showed, in the case of the first team, they shipped three goals in the first 15 minutes of their Warrenview meeting with Morchard Bishop, after which there was a mountain to climb simply to get back into the contest.

To their credit they did indeed gain a foothold in the contest and created numerous chances of their own, but they found the visiting glovesman in fine form.

He was beaten once before the break though, Craig Higham heading home to make it 3-1 at the break.

Ammies dominated long periods of the second half, but failed to get the vital second goal and just before the end of the game Morchard scored a fourth goal with a swift counter-attack.

Ammies seconds crashed to their heaviest defeat of the season away at Heavitree and only had goals from Ashrief Ghemia and Morgan Johnson to show for their efforts.

This week Ammies face a double header against Seaton Town, with the firsts travelling to Seaton and the seconds hosting Seaton Reserves.
