Christmas came early for Exmouth Amateurs under-9s as they bagged a brace of victories over Colyton Raiders and Colyton Redsocks.

Raiders were first to fall to a much improving Ammies team who played with a positive attitude and commitment throughout.

Some fine passing and movement won the match for Ammies with a hat-trick from Daffin.

Redsocks, beaten just three times previously this term were the next opposition.

After falling behind in the early exchanges Ammies battled back.

Excellent defending, particularly by Bowyer and Neilsen, coupled with some exceptional goalkeeping from Crossman, denied the Redsocks further goals.

At the other end of the pitch Phillips, Daffin, Bungay and Hillier began to fashion openings and goals from Daffin and Hillier served up a second success for the Ammies.

With the Christmas break now upon us everybody is looking forward to 2012.
