Woodbury Reserves, playing alongside the senior team at the Archery Club, were good value for the three points.

The Woods started brightly and took a fifth minute lead thanks to a superb 25-yard strike from Josh Cuthbert, the youngster’s 15th goal of the season.

Five minutes before the break Woods paid for taking their foot off the gas when the visitors scored from a long throw in.

Ten minutes after the re-start Woods regained the lead when Stuart Howard rifled home a long-range shot that the keeper could only parry outwards and Luke Bradford reacted quicker than anyone else on the pitch to tuck the ball home for what proved to be the winning goal.

Jonny Killick, making his debut, was named the Woods Man of the Match.

Woodbury team: Alan Doble, Ben Collins, Darren Sellick, (Dave Allen 65) Paul Davis, Wayne Gooding, (Matt Tidmarsh 60) Matt Amor, Stuart Howard, Dave Vickery (Jordan Bishop 70) Jonny Killick, Luke Bradford, Josh Cuthbert.
