Exmouth Amateurs 4, Feniton 1

Exmouth Amateurs Under-11s continued their push to the Division Two title with a 12th victory in 16 outings.

Feniton began brightly, but were guilty of not taking their chances and they paid a heavy price as Lewis Cockayne fired Ammies ahead with his 41st goal of the season.

This an excellent return from just 15 games!

Within five minutes a 1-0 lead became a three-goal advantage as Cockayne twice won penalties that Lewis Cuthbert despatched beyond the visiting keeper.

After the break Feniton again started well, but one more they could not find a finish and Sam Webber’s cross was touched past his own keeper by a defender to make it 4-0.

Feniton did bag a late consolation, but Ammies were not to be denied. Lewis Cuthbert was named the Ammies Man of the Match.
