Budleigh set for youth team

BUDLEIGH SALTERTON AFC YOUTH IT HAS been felt for some time that what Budleigh Salterton AFC needs is a youth system and now a group of parents have got together to, hopefully, launch a Robins Under-12 side for next season.

BUDLEIGH SALTERTON AFC YOUTHIT HAS been felt for some time that what Budleigh Salterton AFC needs is a youth system and now a group of parents have got together to, hopefully, launch a Robins Under-12 side for next season.This coming Saturday, May 16, a trial is to be held at the Club's Greenway Lane headquarters and local youngsters, who will be age qualified to play in an Under-12 team next season, are more than welcome to go along and take part.Children need to be currently in school year six, moving up to year seven in September, although stronger, younger players will also be made very welcome.The trial starts at 11am and youngsters are asked to attend with boots, shin pads and a bottle of water.If a team can be put together, then the Robins will play next season in the East Devon Youth League.For more details call prospective Robins Under-12 team manager Roy Penhallurick on 07920768851.
