Fresha Devon and Exeter League Premier Division match number 13 proved to be another unfruitful game in terms of points for Budleigh Salterton Reserves, though they had the satisfaction of finding the back of their opponent’s net, write SpursTom.
They welcomed to Greenway Lane a Bow AAC wearing black armbands in memory of their young player Nick Cole.
It was a bright start by both teams with chances being created very early on, the breakthrough came in the 16th minute with Bow taking the lead, which was doubled on 27 minutes. Both sides hit the woodwork before the visitors increased their advantage in injury time.
The start of the second period once again saw wasted attempts, but 10 minutes into the half the Robins were given some hope with Matthew Skinner pulling one back.
As the game flowed it was the visitors who regained the initiative netting twice in the 63rd and 66th minutes. To their credit the hosts came back with Joe Hawkins on target with 10 minutes to go, but alas, it was not enough.
The visitors goals were scored by Alex Budden, Gavin Coles, Louis Kinch, Matt Kingdom and Kerian Stone.
