Budleigh Reserves fail student exams

Budleigh Salterton Reserves took a short bus ride up the Exeter Road to Topsham for a Premier Division match against a University of Exeter Reserves side, who have been getting some good results of late, especially now that they can call upon more players whose involvement in the Universities League has finished for the season, writes SpursTom.

The Robins lasted 30 minutes before going behind, and were breached once more before the interval. The students were much more precise with their passing game, showing greater skills than the struggling Robins, whose defence was being tested from all angles. Eventually four more goals were conceded by them after the interval, this could have been even greater but for the performance and at times bravery of goalkeeper Dean Rawlings. Second half substitute Ewan Anderson also deserves a mention for his work rate on the right hand side of midfield.
