Budleigh girls Under-12s net stunning success

Budleigh Girls Under-12s were the club’s ‘team of the weekend’ after a splendid display and win over visitors Newton Fire, who are second in the Devon Girls U12s Division table, writes SpursTom.

The young Robinettes, though having the wind against them, defended well against the outfit from South Devon, but also possessed a determined striker in Naomi Moyle who lit-up the first half with two well struck goals to put the hosts 2-0 up at the break. Budleigh, now kicking downhill, were attacking more, whilst the management team of Kelly Browring and Tony Smith used their substitutes wisely throughout. This ploy worked well especially when Tiegan Gibbins was re-introduced. Her powerful shot and goal for 3-0 made the game safe with seven minutes remaining.

Squad: Chloe Adey, Millie Shaw, Alice Parker, Tiegan Gibbins, Naomi Moyle, Ella MAaguire, Kayleigh Roberts (Capt), Caitlin Smith, Phoebe Carruthers, Martha Raffell, Esme Kilburn-Thompson, Emma Churchyard and Eleanor Messom.
