Brixington Blues under-10 are looking for someone to manage them this season.
Former manager Shaun Slater departed his role during the summer as his son was selected for the Exeer City Academy and that ruled him out of
being able to play for the Blues in the Exeter Youth League.
A replacement was found – but then he too had his son taken on by the Grecians!
Last season, as under- 9 team the side were unbeaten in their league campaign and they also reached the final of the League KO Cup which
they drew with CS Tigers to share the trophy.
If a new manager can be found the team will be training this coming season on Friday evenings on the astro pitch at the Exmouth Community
Home matches will played on Saturday mornings at Friends Life, Winslade Park, Clyst St Mary. The matches consist of two, 7-a-side games, played
on Saturday mornings throughout the season.
Brixington Blues will pay for a suitable person to undertake a FA Level 1 coaching course and will also arrange for the necessary CRB check.
Blues club chairman Richard Taylor said: “It has been a difficult close season for the Club. In early August we also lost our proposed
under-14s manager and that led to us withdrawing that age group team from the League. I do hope someone cane step into the breach to help
with the under-10s.”
Andy Bush this seasons Under 14s Blues manager also resigned and this brought about the withdrawal from the league of another hitherto very successful team.
