BRIXINGTON Blues Under-15s bounced back from the previous weeks below par show against Heavitree to defeat visiting Twyford Spartans 4-0, writes Nick England.

With the Tiverton side arriving in Exmouth as the Juventus League Under-15 leaders, it was always going to be a tough game, but what transpired was a convincing victory as Brixington played some of their best football to date this season, with the visitors fortunate not to have been on the end of a heavier defeat.

First on the scoresheet was Ross James, who headed in a lovely cross from Alex Paltridge, this was then added to by Jack Thomas, who struck a decisive shot past the Twyford keeper.

With the score at 2 - 0 at half time, it was important to press on and turn pressure into additional goals, Ian Littler duly obliged scoring the 3rd after only a couple of minutes of the restart.

The game was wrapped up half way through the second half with a further headed goal by Ross James.
