BRIXINGTON Blues made Exeter Youth League Under-13 KO Cup progress with a 4-1 victory at Tedburn St Mary.

There was a healthy turn out of support at the home of the unbeaten hosts, but the Blues began the game with their hard-working ethic that has become a trademark of their play this season. Once again, the energetic Mike White, in midfield, was central to all the creative work the Blues got through.

Another feature of the early exchanges was the wing work of both Joel Rendall and Harry Trick, who tormented the Tedburn defence with pace and superb crossing from the wings.

Midway through the first half, Rendall was set free by Mike White to score a superb solo goal and Jordan Vine then added a second just before half time with a well-taken

drive.

After the break, Tedburn pulled one back with a free kick from just outside

the box that gave Blues keeper Alex Szypillo little chance.

This spurred the Blues into further activity and Chris Wright volleyed home from just outside the area to restore the two goal advantage.

With the back four of Josh Whiller, Ollie Dawe, David Cockayne and Will Flinn

holding firm there were no alarms at the back and the final word went to Mike White, who took a pass from Harry Trick to complete the scoring for a 4-1 victory.
