Brixington Blues Under-10s were 4-0 winners at Hemyock on a bitterly cold December morning.

Blues kicked off playing up the slope against a far taller opposition, Jonty Wright, Zac Brown and Alex Bowyer combining well to set up Charlie Precious; the delighted skipper scoring his first of the season in the opening minute. Jake Haggerty was denied only by a fine save minutes later, Ethan Beverley joined the action and from the next play Brown made it 2-0. The Blues defence was on top for the remainder of the half and they took their two-goal lead into the interval. After the break, using the slope to their advantage the Blues stung together some great phases of play. Wright orchestrated things and Bowyer was unlucky not to net another before Jake Howarth finished off a great team effort with the Blues third. Oliver Kelly in goal had little to do, but when called on put in a great save punching the ball of his line. At the other end Bowyer, Beverley, Howard and Wright caused the home side endless problems with attack after attack, before Haggerty pounced for the teams fourth goal of the game as the goalie parried one shot too many. The Blues Man of the Match award went to Jonty Wright.
