Blues win Willand Rovers Tournament

THE Brixington Blues Under-10 side emerged as the winners of the first ever Under-10 Tournament staged by Western League club Willand Rovers.

THE Brixington Blues Under-10 side emerged as the winners of the first ever Under-10 Tournament staged by Western League club Willand Rovers.The Blues were superb throughout the tournament, becoming the only side to finish the group stages with a perfect record and they went on to win the trophy, beating Exeter side Phoenix 2-1 in the final.In the group stages they saw off Sampford Peverell Zebras, Wellington, Crediton Saints and Pinhoe Gladiators before beating CS Falcons 2-1 in the last eight and getting past Staplegrove in a penalty shoot-out in the semi-finals.
