Brixington Blues Under-12s put Central to the sword, beating the Exeter side 10-2 in an Exeter and District League meeting.

In a bright start Harry Bennet fired Blues into a second minute lead.

Three minutes later Tom Garland doubled the lead, heading home a corner.

Garland also scored the third, making it himself with a weaving run before applying a polished finish.

Charlie Skinner continued his scoring form and, after a determined run, scored the fourth.

Bennet bagged his second before Erin Assleman had some good link-up play rewarded when he found himself in a good position in the box, and a lovely finish from him put Blues six goals to the good.

A neat combination between Garland and Cole saw the latter make it seven and Bennet finished what he started in the half, completing his hat-trick to send Blues into the break with an 8-0 lead.

After the break Central began well and hit back, first with a sweetly-struck free-kick and then with a header to make it 8-1.

However, once Blues got their sluggish start to the second half out of their system they took control once more and added further goals from Garland and Cole to round off the scoring.
