BRIXINGTON Blues Under-13s went down 4-0 in Mid Devon at the hands of Culm United.

Any heavy rain overnight at Magelake would have surely ended all hopes of playing this game today. However as the match progressed both Culm and Brixington found it hard to play their normal swift passing football.

Brixington's only real chances on goal in the first half went to Jordan Vine whose shot was easily saved by the Culm keeper, the second was a shot from a very acute angle that came off the post after some good work from Will Flinn.

Culm ended the first half leading 3 - 0, a rather unfair reflection of the game as a whole so far.

The second half started and Blues looked ready to stage a fight back with attempts from Joel Rendall, Will Flinn, Jordan Vine and Mike White. Although Culm Utd were pinned back for most of the second half, they still managed to grab another, 4 - 0 to Culm Utd. Blues, try as they might could not find the back of the net and Culm held on to take all 3 points. The hospitality of the hosts was first class whilst the day was a memorable one for one Blues' player. Lewis Warnaby made a fine debut for the side.

TEAM: Dave Cockayne, Ollie Dawe, Josh Whille , Will Flinn, Harry Trick, Ben Rowland, Mike White (capt), Chris Wright, Joel Rendall, Jordan Vine, Sam Warren, Lewis Wartnaby.
