BRIXINGTON BLUES Under-9s chalked up a couple of convincing wins in games against Central.Against Central City they won 4-0 thanks to an early goal from James Doble who netted with a sweetly struck left foot drive. Further goals came from Etham Langston-Justice, this his first of the season, Ollie Toomey and Doble with his second. The midfield trio of Toomey, Justice and Callum Cross worked hard throughout the game to provide a solid attacking platform whilst James Slinn was at his best to keep the visitors out with one stunning save. The Blues' second game saw them beat Central United 3-1.It was Weeks who broke the first half stalemate with a well struck goal after a series of excellent Blues attacks. Jordan Capey, who had transferred to keeper, was then called into action, and made a fine save from a powerfully struck Central shot. With their lead still in place, Blues went up the field and Slinn was able to score his first goal for the club from close range.Again playing some good attacking football, Blues were now much more likely to score the next goal and so it proved with Hayden Boatman knocking in a parried Blues shot from the edge of the box.Central, however, battled on and were rewarded for their fine efforts with a goal in the last few minutes.
