Offwell Reserves 0, Colaton Raleigh Reserves 2

In their final league game of the season Colaton Raleigh Reserves produced an outstanding performance to defeat a strong and experienced Offwell team in horrible conditions, swirling fog and driving rain.

A goal from Blake Blackwood early in the second half, and an own goal fifteen minutes from time settled this competitive and hard fought encounter.

Thanks to a stunning last two months of the campaign when Raleigh picked up twenty one points from a possible twenty four, they have shot up the division to finish the season in a highly creditable fifth place, well above club expectations.

The second team youngsters, in particular, Blackwood who was man of the match at Offwell, Ricki Harris, Scott Newbery, Ed Santer and Jamie Vittles have all made encouraging progress this season, and first team Manager Riki Pitter has high hopes for them all.

The Colaton Raleigh Senior team have one more match, on May 26, in the Final of the Seaton Challenge Cup where they will meet either Seaton Town or Feniton.
