BUDLEIGH Reserves entertained Devon and Exeter League Premier Divison table topping Exmouth Amateurs at a cold Greenway Lane and put in a fine display to take the points.

Budleigh played some fine football and really could have scored a couple more than the one that settled the contest.

Leigh Begam scored the only goal of the game just before the break, whilst his strike partner, Khaled Badavi, caused problems all afternoon for the Ammies defence.

The games outstanding individual was the Robins' Liam Ellis, who put in a wonderful shift in the midfield.

The three points take the Robins to within four points of new leaders Thorverton in what is looking set to be one of the closest top flight races for many seasons.
