BUDLEIGH Salterton Reserves continued their recent fine run of results with a 4-1 win over Clyst Valley.

BUDLEIGH Salterton Reserves continued their recent fine run of results with a 4-1 win over Clyst Valley.

Under Manager Wayne Rowsell, the Robins are looking a formidable force, as underlined with a midweek cup success over Topsham Town.

That cup win over the Tops saw 16-year-old local lad Leigh Johns score an extra-time winner to seal a thrilling 4-3 win.

On Saturday, the Robins made a dreadful start, falling behind after just 12 seconds!

However, such is the new confidence running through the ranks at Greenway Lane, it did not take long for the team to find a response.

Khalid Badavi went on to notch a fine hat-trick and Simon Rose also found the back of the hosts' net.

At the back, Budleigh were solid all through the contest and head into this coming weekend's derby meeting at home to Exmouth Amateurs (3pm) with real confidence.
