Exmouth Amateurs Under-9s enjoyed a very good season which aw them finish in the top half of the team competing in the Exeter and District Youth League Under-9 section.

The club are particularly grateful; to the support they have received in the season from The Eurotech Group, RMA Exmouth Branch, D Crossman & Sons and Lewis Pharmacy.

The young Ammies ended their season by competing at the St James’ Park home of Exeter City in a special tournament featuring the best sides from across the County in that age group.

In a tough group they opened up with a meeting with Exeter League champions Stoke Hill and they were mighty close to beginning with a win, the Exeter side levelling in the final minutes.

Next up they were again in front through a Lewis Hilliar goal, but again a late equaliser denied them a win.

Bideford provided the next test and a fine defensive performance ended in another draw.

Tactics played apart against West Hill as only a win could get Ammies into the finals, but some fine attacking by the opposition ended with Ammies being edged out.

They then lost their final game, a meeting with local rivals Brixington United.
