Exmouth Amateurs Under-10s bagged a win-double in Exeter Youth League meetings with Hemyock and Colyton.

In the opening game against Hemyock a goal inside two minutes from Harry Phillips gave Ammies the perfect start.

There were two further goals before half-time with first, Phillips doubling his tally and then Ryan Shapcott netted.

Hemyock struck just before the break and so Ammies went into the interval with a 3-1 lead. After the break the Ammies showed a great deal of composure as they kept the ball for long periods.

Young Shapcott made it 4-1 before Callum Neal got on the end of a sweeping move to make it five and the final word fell to Phillips who completed his hat-trick to seal a 6-1 success.

The second game was a much closer affair as opponents Colyton gave as goods as they got in an even first half that produced just the one goal, scored by Ryan Shapcott to send Ammies into the break one up.

The second half served up an even more impressive fare from both sides but it was Ammies who went two up when Shapcott unselfishly set up Sam Austin to net from close range.

Colyton responded well and struck a goal of their own to set up a tense finish but Ammies closed the game out to land an impressive 2-1 win.

Callum Neal and Ryan Shapcott picked up the mornings Man of the Match awards for Ammies.
