Exmouth Amateurs saw their fabulous run in the Firewatch Devon Senior Cup brought to an end in what turned out to be a titanic tussle with hosts Lapford.

The Fresha League Division Four side won the game by the odd goal in seven with the winner coming late on from a free-kick.

This weekend its back to Fresha League One action for Ammies as they head to Exeter to meet Alphington.

The Alphas sit 11th in the table four places and five points behind Ammies who have played a game more.

The sides should know all about each other as they met just a fortnight ago with Ammies winning the Warren View meeting 8-2.

Ammies Reserves are also in action on Saturday. They continue their battle to beat then drop from Fresha League Division Three when they host Thorverton.

Then Mid Devon side sit ninth, just a single point and three places better off than the Ammies who know that if they can claim the three points they will boost their chances of getting out of the bottom three slot they currently hold.
