Exmouth Amateurs set up a friendly match with Starcross Generals to provide game time for some of the younger squad members and the outcome was an exceptional game of football with plenty of goals at Warrenview as Ammies won 8-1.
James Clark opened the scoring on 15 minutes after he controlled the ball with his right foot before firing it home with his left!
Wayne Rowsell scored a stunning 25th minute goal to double the lead.
A corner, delivered from the right, was met by a Rowsell scissor-kick that saw the ball arrow its way into the bottom left hand corner of the visitors net.
JG Leaper made it 3-0 with a deft finish after he strode forward from the centre back berth and beat the off-side trap.
After the break young Owen Corrick made it 4-0 and, in the 60th minute JG Leaper made it five.
Corrick doubled his tally, knocking the ball home after good work on the right by James Clark and the Josh Hempstead rifled the ball home from 20-yards in the 85th minute.
In the last of the regular 90 minutes Hempstead rounded off the Ammies scoring with an excellent solo goal, weaving his way past four opposition players before passing the ball into the goal.
Starcross Generals netted straight from the restart to bag a consolation with what turned out to be the last kick of the game.
James Clarke got the Ammies Man of the Match award for his fine all-round shift.
Wayne Rowsell also shone as did Josh Hempstead and JG Leaper whilst Owen Corrick made some good contributions.
