EXMOUTH AMATEURS Girls under-12s went nap against Plainmoor Pinks at Warren View on Sunday afternoon.

The Ammies did not have things all their own way and the first half was a close contest resulting in the hosts going in at the break with just a two goal advantage.

Shortly after the restart the visitors halved the deficit but this merely served to give Ammies the resolve to push on and that is exactly what they did.

With renewed tempo, they regained their two goal advantage and, as the visitors visibly tired, the home side scored twice more to complete a 5-1 win.

Brett Collins of Ammies said: "Plainmoor deserve much credit for they did not let their heads drop and they battled to the end, but the Ammies' passing and movement proved a bit too much on the day.
