Archant

Bicton 33, Firebirds 26

A depleted Firebirds put up a battling display against Bicton.

The first quarter ended with Bicton, thanks to some great attacking moves from C Kilburn and S Cain, leading 9-3.

Firebirds came back well in the second quarter with some top shooting from L Rowe and good attacking play from S Harrison.

In the third quarter Bicton started to pull away as the defence tightened up, only shipping five goals in this passage of play.

During the last quarter Firebirds gave it their all and had a monopoly on shots, but could get to within seven of the Bicton total.

Some good and decisive umpiring from K Wackley and H Taylor kept it all in check.
