Exe III were winners by the odd goal in five when they travelled to Mannamead.

Mannamead 2 –3 Exe III

Exe dominated the first half to such an extent that their goal keeper had only a single touch of the ball from open play but her side still went into the break a goal down with the hosts netting in the opening exchanges.

Becky Barnett levelled early in the second half with a reverse stick after a neat interchange with Nicole and the latter then fired Exe into the lead.

The defence then rode their luck as the home side came back strongly before Exe Player of the Match, Becky Fagg, scored from the tightest of angles to make it 3-1.

Mannamead had the final word with a successful short corner inside the final five minutes but Exe were not to be denied and closed the game out to a successful conclusion.
