In the Budleigh Evening Coast Wealth Management League, a great effort from the Exonia Eagles saw them defeat the Maderia Bluebirds on both rinks, winning overall 40-29, writes David Roberts.

That saw Eagles bank six points to put themselves back in contention for a top three finish.

It remains all to play for, for the top four teams - Maderia Bluebirds and Robins, the Budleigh Falcons and the Exonia Eagles - as the season draws to an end. The Budleigh Buzzards, although out of contention for honours, play the Maderia Bluebirds this week and a good win for the Bluebirds will keep them in the mix.

On Saturday (February 24), the Budleigh ladies take on the Budleigh gents when once again bragging rights will be at stake!
