The two squads from Exmouth CC women’s team braved the sun for an entertaining inter-club friendly that saw the Eastern Squad defeat the Central Squad by 39 runs.
On the junior scene at the Maer, Exmouth U13 girls retained their unbeaten status in the East League with a nine-run win over Sidmouth. Fiona and Bethany performed superbly with the bat, backed up some fine bowling from Laila, Jasmyne and Fiona.
Freddie Cannock and Dylan Hessesy both hit scores of 25, as Exmouth U11s reached a fine total of 119/4 in a home clash with Seaton.
In a thrilling climax, Seaton battled bravely with the bat and took the game to the final ball. Joshua Holmes was given the ultimate bowling responsibility and he delivered the winning dot ball to ensure Exmouth won a great game by one run. Special mention to debutant Elliot Tooke, who bowled beautifully for Exmouth.
