Exmouth snooker team edged out in last eight of the County Inter-League Cup

Exmouth just failed to progress to the semi-finals of the Devon Inter-League Snooker when they were beaten by Exeter C by three frames to two.
Carl Rowsell 55-43 and Mark Rock 64-24 took them to the brink of victory before Iain Callander was overtaken by Paul Ford’s black-ball finish 47-39. Dion Newcombe made a gallant effort to obtain the snookers required to win the decider, but, Andy Richardson held out to win 64-19.
Police Social Club C overtake the Number Nine B to lead the Exmouth League with a 4-1 win over the Police A. Steve Spinner 88-57, Ray Sturman 67-53, John Parrott 75-61 and Trevor Haylock 69-34 were denied maximum points by Andrew Binmore 66-32.
Police B recorded their eighth win of the season as John Spamer 63-18, Frank Kelsey 52-32 and Tom Caygill 55-34 held off the challenge from Paul Hayman 64-42 and Leo Dolling 59-30 of East Budleigh C.
