Defending Exmouth Snooker league champions, Police Social Club A, climbed to the top of the current table with a dominant display, as Carl Rowsell 74-33, Russ Payne 59-22, George Webster 84-78, Rob Pow 84-77 and Mike Delahaye 50-40 found little resistance from Police B players to record a maximum points victory.
East Budleigh B may be third, but, with two games in hand, are perfectly poised to pounce after Stuart Laws 60-26, Mervyn Long 60-47, Duane Greenslade 68-47 and David Freer 68-34 defeated second place Police C. John Parrott 60-25 denied them a 5-0 whitewash with his impressive unbeaten run of seven frames victories.
The Conservative Club moved up from the bottom rung with two frames won by Iain Callander 75-66 and Dave Lance 70-26, but they were still narrowly beaten at East Budleigh A by Alan Farrant 75-67, Mark Auton 50-29 and Barry Bentley 66-24.
