Exmouth Harriers turned out in force at the City Runs Turn & Burn 5km and a perfect evening on a very quick course alongside the River Exe & the Canal from Exeter Quay to Countess Weir and back.
Tom Merson was not only the first Harrier to finish but he also won the race outright with a superb time of 15.13. Oliver White was the next Harrier to finish in a new personal best time of 16.29 and Simon Minting equalled his personal best time of 16.35.
Des White’s 19.36 time not only won him the over 65 age category on the night but it also placed him at the top of the 2021 UK M65-69 5km rankings, alongside his other top 2021 UK rankings recently for the 10km at the Fast Friday race on 2nd April and the 1/2 Marathon at the Shepperdine 1/2 Marathon on 25th April.
