The City Runs Ekiden Virtual Relay (from the weekend 20/21 Feb. 2021) provisional results have just been published and a fine performance from the Exmouth Harriers, who finished second.
There were fabulous runs from Rob Ellis, Simon Minting, Oli White, James Kelly and Scott Jamieson, finishing the 26.2 miles in 2 hours 24 minutes 52 seconds.
The Harriers Men’s “B” team of Aiden Bown, Lee Salter, Andrew Place, Des White, Tom Packer and Josh Sale were 14th overall in a time of 2.51.37.
The Harriers Women’s team of Emma White, Nicola Kelly, Lucy Craven, Kelly Thomas, Alice Kelly and Hannah Bown were the second Women’s team and 24th overall in 3.03.48.
The Harriers Mixed team of Des White, Katie Moore, Hayley Johns, Amy Tew, Ben Ogden and Steve Morgan were 52nd overall in 3.27.13.
The weather conditions were quite extreme over the weekend with a strong and bitterly cold easterly wind and plenty of rain showers.
