Exmouth Harriers offer free beginners jogging course.

Exmouth Harriers have previously provided a successful series of free Beginners Running course’s and another is due to start early next month, writes Dave Eveleigh.
Monday, April 8, at 6.30pm at the Withycombe Tennis and Leisure Centre (near the pedestrian footbridge in Withycombe Village Road), is the place to be.
If you are wondering how much of a beginner you have to be then be reassured that the early weeks do not even require you to run for a full minute at a time!
The aim of the course though is to have you running for 15 minutes continuously after 10 weeks and, on Sunday June 9, there will be an opportunity to conclude the course by running a measured mile on Exmouth Promenade.
The course is being led by Steve Merry and Phil Bater, two long-time Harriers members.
However, don’t think they are two honed young athletes ready to show you up.
They are just a couple of blokes in their 50s who like to keep fairly fit and like the company of their fellow club members.
So if you feel you would like to get yourself a little bit fitter here is an opportunity to do so in a friendly, supportive environment.
