Exmouth Harriers ladies after their Templar '10' success


Exmouth Harriers enjoyed more success at the Templar '10', an off-road race run in the Kingsteignton area, writes Dave Eveleigh.

Once again it provided rich pickings for the Harriers’ women members.

The Harriers ladies’ won the female team race.

Individually, from a field of 154 finishers, Ellie Sutcliffe was first woman home, 20th overall in a time of 63:50.

Next for the Harriers contingent was Hannah Bown, sixth woman and 29th overall in 66:45.

The team was completed by Sarah Jackman, 15th and 53rd overall in 71:07, Emma White (16th, 55th, 71:24) and Jane MacDonald (20th, 86th, 77:22).

There were four Harriers’ men involved and they were led home by Adam Miller who finished eighth (first in the Over-35 category) in a time of 57:23.

Richard Pyle was 40th in 68:45, Ben White 54th in 71:23 and Nicholas Brown 83rd in 76:43.

Meanwhile, Richard Bishop was 15th at the Yarcombe Yomp in 79:26 and Tom Merson won the Plymouth 10k in 31:35.
