The fourth edition of the Run Exe 5k was again held in hot conditions on Tuesday evening.

The course around Exwick playing fields and the flood relief channel is largely flat, but speed is hampered by short sharp climbs and drops and tight turns.

Hugh Marsden, a long time Exmouth Harrier and previous Commenwealth Games competitor, was the winner in the M55 category for the fourth consecutive time; he finished 26th overall in 19:46.

Langdon Williams finished sixth overall in 17:30, and Des White was 33rd overall in 20:20 and the pair were also both category winners in the M50 and M60 respectively.

Susan Hill won the F55 in 22:50. Jon Garrity was second Harrier to finish in 18:31 with Scott Jamieson just one second behind. Richard Bishop did 20:04, Hannah Bown 20:37 and Dawn Teed 25:40
