Exmouth Harrier Fletcher runs well at Roadford Lake Triathlon

Exmouth Harrier Pete Fletcher was third fastest runner over an off-road 10.5 km when he completed the running leg of a team triathlon at Roadford Lake, writes Dave Eveleigh.

This helped his team to third place, his joining of Harriers appearing to be paying off in terms of his triathlon performances.

Ellie Sutcliffe continued to ease her way back towards fully competitive racing at the Cotleigh Canter 5K event near Honiton.

Ellie was second overall and first woman, though with a time of 19:44, was 43 seconds slower than her winning time last year.

Richard Bishop is on a run of good form just now.

His latest outing, at the Powderham 10k, saw him finish sixth in a time of 41:56. About 250 completed the race, a fundraiser for the FORCE cancer charity and Hospiscare.
