Prior to the weekend win over Odd Down, Exmouth manager Kevin Hill took his side to an old stomping ground to take on Dorchester Town in a friendly fixture.
The hosts play two leagues higher than Town and they demonstrated that superior experience with a powerful 8-0 victory.
Managed by former Torquay United left-back Robbie Herrera, an old team-mate of Hill’s from Plainmoor, Dorchester were ruthless on the night.
The hosts enjoyed a perfect start, with Harry Burns heading home after just two minutes and then an unfortunate own goal from Robbie Powell extended the Dorchester lead.
Powell made amends with a superb save, only for Sam Bayston to prod home the rebound.
Tom Bath added a fourth before the break and there were further goals from Ash Wells, Torquay loannee Olaf Koszela and Leighton Thomas after the break.
While it was a tough night for Town, they certainly recovered well against Odd Down.
