Exmouth won the Francis Clark Devon League Premier Division derby game with Budleigh at the Maer ground.

The margin of victory was 41 runs after the Maer men once more this term scored 300 plus!

David Lye led the batting honours with a splendid 90. He and Sandy Allen (61) put on 124 for the second wicket and there was a fine 83-run partnership between Richard Baggs (30) and Seb Benton (61) as Exmouth closed on 302 all out.

Matt Kidd (4-60), skipper Joel Murphy (3-44) and James Burke (3-52) were the wicket takers.

Bob Dawson led the run chase, and in some style too, finally out for a magnificent 135.

However, only Matt Kidd (38), Henry Parkin (23) and number eleven bat skipper Murphy (12), managed to register double figures with no fewer than six batsmen recording single figure totals as Budleigh were bowled out for 261 in 48 overs.
