Exmouth sailor Joe Glanfield is celebrating after being selected by the British Olympic Association to compete at the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.Glanfield, 28, will be on the plane to China for the Olympic Regatta in Qingdao this summer after the BOA officially ratified his nomination for the men's 470 two-person dinghy class put forward by Royal Yachting Association selectors.Glanfield's official selection means he joins fellow Exmouth residents Stevie Morrison and Ben Rhodes in the 18-strong British sailing team that will do battle at the Olympic Regatta in Qingdao.It also gives him the chance to repeat the Olympic silver medal he won with helm Nick Rogers at Athens 2004, the pair having agonisingly missed out on a podium place, finishing fourth, at Sydney 2000 by one point.But despite British sailors winning no fewer than five medals - including three golds - at the 10 class World Championships staged so far in 2008, helm Rogers is under no illusions about the size of the task that faces the team on the infamously light wind waters of QingdaoHe said: "I don't think the British sailing team target of three medals is conservative, I think it is realistic, three medals would be success.
