Exe II land first win of season

Exe II took a big step towards South Division safety by securing a 4-0 win over Plym Valley, their first home success of season.

After a nervy start the game was made safe with fifteen minute spell midway through the first half.

Bridget Culver pounced on a rebound to score from the first penalty corner and this was shortly followed by Karen Tinley’s superb strike from a second.

Helena Nicholls mazy run then set up Heather Edworthy for the third.

In the second half Emma Hulme scored the fourth with a reverse stick flick past the ‘keeper.

Player of the Match Sian Williams was superb in defence to ensure a clean sheet.
