Exe II denied goals at Cardon as they bring back a point thanks to Bridget Culver

Exe second eleven shared two goals with hosts Caradon in a South Division meeting.

Had they not had a brace of ‘goals’ disallowed then Exe would have taken all three points! First a penalty corner was converted, but deemed to be too high and then Fi Hailstone was denied her first goal for the club when it was decided the ball had gone out of play!

However, in the second half Exe did get a goal at the third time of asking when Bridget Culver was on hand to convert a penalty corner. At times they looked comfortable, however, a lapse in concentration allowed Caradon an unopposed drive into the D and the shot drew the scores level.

Late on Exe had one further chance, but it was spurned to leave honours even.
