The ladies played an 11-holes-five-clubs-only match early in the month with Sally Stratton scoring 26 points in the top division and Clare Phillips 20 points in Bronze.

A four-ball, two scores to count, team alliance saw Carole Brailey's team of Judy Nelson, Sandra Sydenham and Elaine Whitehead make an amazing 86 points to take the prize.

In an individual county qualifying stableford, Barbara Mellor scored 35 points and won on countback from Diane Smith in the Silver Division.

Jenny Fitt won the Bronze A Division with 33 points and Sue Smith scored 34 points in Bronze B.

The final of the winter knockout was played this month with Hilary Greenaway beating Rosemary Pratt with the last putt on the final hole.

The two 10 handicappers had a battle royal with mostly par and birdie golf, a match brilliant to watch according to their referee, ladies' captain Charlotte Drake.
