East Devon Golf Club is delighted and proud to be able to report that our Ladies Annodata team beat Weybrook Park ladies on their home course at Basingstoke to win their quarter final match and claim a place in the semi-finals.
Winners of this prestigious competition will be crowned the UK Golf Club Champions, after playing the finals in Spain in March 2022.
The team's result against Weybrook Park went down to the last game, which finished on the 17th green with a challenging putt holed, and our team coming away with a 3-2 win on a cold and windy day.
Our team on the day was Sally Underwood, Jo Goldsworthy, Sue Harrison, Sarah Jones and Helen Chivers – supported by team captain Sue Burley and the caddies present. However, our congratulations must go to the whole squad, who have played their part in the team's success this year.
