East Devon golfers hand over two super cheques to local groups

The annual prize giving took place at the East Devon Golf Club on the middle Saturday of November, writes Paul Willoughby.

The prize giving also included the presentation of cheques to representatives of the two charities chosen by this year’s captain and ladies captain.
Tony Mackness and Maria Heard were on hand to present their cheques to Richard Watts, from Prostate Cancer UK and to Dr Karen Street from Bramble Ward of the RD&E hospital, Wonford.
Thanks to the generosity of the club members, the cheques totalled a whopping £14,500.
