East Devon Golf Club Captain’s Charity meeting proves a huge hit

The postponed Captains’ Charity Golf Day took place at East Devon, writes Paul Willoughby.

Fifty teams of four took part in an excellent event and the club captain, Tony Mackness and ladies’ captain, Maria Heard presented the prizes.

The winning team consisted of Mark Dunsford, Tom Peters, Paul Parnell and Guy Peters and they won with a convincing 94 points.

The charities chosen by the captain’s this year are Prostate Cancer research and Bramble Ward Trust at the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital and, thanks to the charity event, they benefitted by an outstanding £8,150.
