Following on from the 4/1 result for our Annodata team, winning Round 5 of this national event, Round 6 was even better.
Ladies from Romsey Golf Club in Hampshire travelled to East Devon and the five-game match started just before midday.
Team captain Sue Burley was finding it hard to contain her excitement and nerves even though our ladies were leading on all but one match. We watched Sarah Jones win her match on the 13th green, a fantastic 6/5 result and all our congratulations for such a great start to the match.
Sarah’s win was quickly followed by Nina Hawkins, Sue Harrison, Sally Underwood and Helen Chivers, all reporting their wins, making the overall result 5/0 to East Devon.
So, with eight teams remaining in the Annodata Competition, one more round must be played before the four successful teams go through to the finals held in Spain in March 2022.
