East Budleigh returned to winning ways with a comprehensive 4-0 victory over Clyst Valley in Division 1 East of the Devon and Exeter League.
In an entertaining match, Budleigh sealed the win with three goals in seven minutes around the hour mark.
On the half-hour, Budleigh deservedly scored when Jack Hocking set up man of the match Rowland to slot home, before Darren Everest and Gareth Morrey went close for the home side.
The visitors themselves had some good opportunities during the game, but failed to beat stand in keeper Ben Wiltshire who did well between the sticks.
Budleigh had their second when Rowland squeezed home a fine effort on 59 minutes before Will Price added the third a minute later when put clear by Aaron Denny. Denny himself scored a great individual fourth for the Jays.
Special mentions for Josh Sale and Dan Atkinson, while Budleigh reserves had two goalkeepers playing outfield in a battling 3-1 loss to Exeter United.
