East Budleigh A steal the lead in the Exmouth Snooker League with a 4-1 win at the Police Social Club B.

Paul Milford 54-52, Graham Ward 72-49, Dave Hawkins 82(27)-42 and Mark Auton 59-44 were denied maximum points by Ton Caygill 71-34.

Police A lost the lead after losing their match at the Number Nine A.

Two nil down to Dion Newcombe 73-51 and Dennis Robb 77-21, parity was restored by Andrew Binmore 79-45 and Mervyn Long 68-17, but, the decider was won by Dan Brown 81-30 to lift the Number Nine A up to fourth in the table.

East Budleigh C continue to press the leading contenders as Leo Dolling 49-40, Rob Marsden 79-3, Paul Hayman 56-52 and Barry Bentley 56-43 triumphed over the Police B after losing the opening frame to T Thorn 78-48.

Otterton A have at last recorded their first win with Patrick Long 55-54, Dan Abraham 54-50 and Michael Dabrowiecki 59-38 recovering from the loss of two frames from Steve Spinner 71-63 and John Parrott 67-31 of the Police B.
