League Snooker in Exmouth gave way to matches in the Team Knockout Cup with aggregate frame scores to determine the winners.

Police Social Club A lost the opening frame to Iain Callander of the Number Nine A 80-45 but, more than made up the deficit in the four frames that followed. Mick Jordan 89-39, Pete Abrahams 91-30, David Binmore 75-19 and George Webster 50-34 ran out winners by 148 points.

The closest finish came at the Police B, eventually won by East Budleigh A. They won three frames with Dave Hawkins 46-34, Derek Quick 57-54 and Paul Milford 62-34, enough to better the wins of Bob Horton 60-59 and John Spamer 61-39.

The local derby at Otterton A was won by East Budleigh C. Paul Hayman 86-41, Barry Bentley 54-47 and Robin Marsden 65-49 won the middle three frames, too many for Graham Dabrowiecki 61-50 and Dan Abraham 58-29.

Chris Sharland 67-43, Tim Thorn 74-52 and John Sharland 58-33 eased the Number Nine B into the semi-finals, 49 points ahead of the Police C and John Evens 59-57 and Ray Sturman 55-35.

The draw for the semi-finals is Number Nine B v. Police A and East Budleigh A home to East Budleigh C. The four losing teams compete for the Parks Plate and that draw pairs Police C home to the Number Nine A and Otterton A to entertain the Police B.
